Fabrizio Romano has just shared a fresh update on a rumoured £8m Leicester City target
Leicester City are going through a really tricky patch having lost seven games on the bounce in the Premier League.
The Foxes have dropped into the relegation zone and the pressure is already beginning to mount on Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Some fans even booed van Nistelrooy’s substitutes on the weekend, as he took off Bilal El Khanouss, who was looking the most likely avenue to a goal.
Clearly, the Dutchman needs help in the transfer market and with the deadline just 12 days away, the club must act quickly.
With that said, Fabrizio Romano has just shared an update on a rumoured Leicester target.
Leicester target Valentin Gomez on verge of joining Udinese
Leicester were targeting Valentin Gomez earlier in the window and an £8m deal was mooted for the Velez centre-back.
However, Fabrizio Romano has just revealed that Gomez, who is an Argentina youth international, is on the verge of joining Serie A outfit Udinese.
The 21-year-old is set to sign a one-and-a-half-year deal, which seems a little peculiar, but perhaps he has ambitions to move on to bigger and better in the future.
For Leicester, they’ll have to look elsewhere after missing out on yet another transfer target – which is becoming an unwanted theme this month.
City lost the race to sign Julio Enciso to Ipswich and Juma Bah to Manchester City.
