Leicester eying special signing as three more moves are confirmed and official.
Tariq Lamptey is on his way to Leicester, according to Football Insider. The Mail clames his move will be to Ajax, but that also looks a strange one. The 24 year old is out of contract at Brighton in the summer, and has also been out of the first team, only having played 9 times in Premier League this season.
Leicester do need more options in defence, but another right back would be a surprise. Lamptey do have special qualities and possibly better than the players at present, but of course a surprise to see him linked.
Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu are both his team mates at international level, representing Ghana. Ayew could be a key in the move as he is a veteran and highly rated, 109 caps to his name. To be in a group with him both at club and country could be of certain value for the former Chelsea academy graduate.
We will see what happens in the next days as the transfer window shut is coming closer. We do have a bit of hope of a move or two being in the mix as three other signings in and out of the club are confirmed by the club.
The women team have signed Columbian international Karla Torres on a 6 months loan deal, making their additions three so far, hopefully bringing in a player that can give the team even more power to improve results going forward. She is an 18 year old forward, who is a talent with an emerging reputation on the world stage, Torres leaves Liga Betplay Dimayor Femenina after playing a key role in Santa Fe’s successful 2024 regular season campaign, where the team finished in third place.
Brandon Cover and Ben Grist have both agreed loan deals and have joined up with Fleetwood (BC) and Worksop (BG). Cover just recently returned from Port Vale, and will see out the rest of the season in League 2. Grist will be joining a club on level 7 of the English pyramid, previously been at Grimsby. Grist have been involved with the u.21 group, but only played 4 games this season.
