Ruud van Nistelrooy warned of major ‘stumbling block’ in race to sign key Leicester City target
Leicester City fans have grown increasingly frustrated with the club’s lack of transfer activity in this window.
There’s only two days left of the January transfer window and so far, Leicester’s only signing is Woyo Coulibaly, the powerful right-back who joined from Parma.
That is despite Ruud van Nistelrooy wanting to improve four positions having outlined his priorities when he arrived at the King Power Stadium.
Although Van Nistelrooy issued an encouraging transfer update on Thursday, claiming the club are working on new signings, time is running out to complete deals.

The Foxes have a limited budget to spend and being 17th in the Premier League table has made it difficult to attract players, as demonstrated by them hitting a problem in the race for a new winger.
Leicester City can’t afford to sign Wolfsburg winger Patrick Wimmer
Leicester were linked with Patrick Wimmer on Thursday, the Wolfsburg winger who is currently enjoying a decent season in the Bundesliga with one goal and four assists.
The Foxes have been joined by AC Milan and Juventus in the race to sign him in this window, although according to The Express, Leicester have already hit a major ‘stumbling block’ in the deal.
