Cheers! Wolves boss spotted celebrating Aston Villa defeat at a local pub and he’s becoming a regular.
Wolves boss Vitor Pereira certainly had plenty to celebrate after his team’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa coupled with other results helped to ease their relegation worries somewhat.
The Portugese manager popped into The Swan at Tettenhall on Sunday where he met staff, mixed with customers and talked football.
And Pereira, who has settled in well to life in the West Midlands, made a return visit on Monday night to watch the televised Chelsea v West Ham game, spoke to regulars and Wolves fans and enjoyed a pint of Madri according to staff.
The 56 year old swapped Saudi Arabia for Wolverhampton in December when joining Wolves from Saudi Pro-League club Al Shabab – it is thought he has set up home in the Tettenhall area.
Posting on Facebook, Elaine Baker, who works at the pub said: “He was a very happy customer. He loves his new local and his fav barmaid,”
Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina makes ominous post on Instagram amid proposed transfer to Galatasaray
The transfer window for English clubs shut at 11pm on Monday, but business can still be done for any side wanting to sell or loan players to Turkey.
The Turkish window is still open until February 11, meaning there is still an opportunity for clubs to offload they don’t currently have need for.
And one player Wolves no longer have need for is Mario Lemina.
Last month, Vitor Pereira revealed Lemina had refused to play for Wolves against Newcastle United, casting major doubt on his future at the club.
Prior to that Lemina had been injured.
Pereira then said he wouldn’t play Lemina while the transfer window is open, which strongly suggested he would be departing.
On transfer deadline day, it was reported Galatasaray had agreed a fee with Wolves to sign
Lemina.
It’s been rather quiet since then – but now Lemina himself has made an ominous post.
