Aaron Rodgers Announces Meeting With The Jets
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is taking time out this offseason to think about his NFL future, and while Gang Green’s season ended weeks ago, some thought that a decision might soon be forthcoming. However, that hasn’t been the case.
In truth, Rodgers must consider a lot regarding his playing future or whether he wants to retire or play on another team in 2025, and that decision can’t be rushed. Rodgers is a known avid golfer, and he participated in the Phoenix Open and spoke with Kira Dixon in between holes, and when asked about his future in New York, as expected, Aaron gave nothing away. … well, except for essentially announcing that he’s had a meeting with the franchise’s new management. “I’ve talked with the Jets, we’ll figure things out when we figure them out,” Rodgers said.
So, there has been some communication between the Jets and Rodgers, and if we take Aaron’s comments at face value, there doesn’t seem to be too much of a rush to make a decision. Given that quarterback is the most important position in football, we think it might make sense to figure out which way things will go one way or another, but right now, there appears to be no real timeline for a decision. But a “meeting” is a start.
