Who is Dennis Schröder? The Golden State Warriors star slammed the NBA for the Luka Doncic trade to the Los Angeles Lakers – then he was traded to the Detroit Pistons just hours after the Utah Jazz
Schröder began his career in Germany, joined the Atlanta Hawks in 2013, then featured in numerous NBA deals; he’s married to his high-school sweetheart, with whom he has three children
NBA player Dennis Schröder might need a minute to catch his breath. Hours before the trade deadline on February 6, news broke that the Golden State Warriors point guard would be going to the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team deal that also included the Miami Heat, plus Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson. But then, the following day, sources told ESPN that the Detroit Pistons would be acquiring Schröder from the Utah Jazz. Phew!
The deal comes less than two months after Schröder was traded to the Warriors from the Brooklyn Nets, becoming the first player to move this season. It’s also hot on the heels of Schröder’s acerbic comments about the NBA’s cut-throat deals in the wake of the shock news that the Dallas Mavericks had traded five-time NBA All-Star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers – home of the celebrated LeBron James.
