The Philadephia 76ers should be considered the biggest winners of the NBA offseason as they managed to improve their roster the most.
Philadelphia not only brought back several of their key rotation pieces from last season, but they also lured Paul George away from the Los Angeles Clippers.
After the Clippers couldn’t agree to terms on an extension with the star wing, it opened the door for the 76ers to swoop in and sign George to a four-year max deal.
Now, Philadelphia has its own “Big 3″ in Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and George that can rival just about any trio in the league.
George slots in nicely as an offensive piece alongside Embiid and Maxey and should be able to go back to playing a more natural 3-and-D role.
While the vibes around the 76ers are positive for now, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green issued a warning to George regarding the Philadelphia fanbase.
“You know why they gonna crush Paul George if he play there? If he don’t play well? Because they already got a nasty taste in their mouth from their last three that they had… They never felt like he brought it, so that’s why, Paul George better play well,” Green said.
