Luton Town – The Damning Midweek Verdict
There are thirteen games to go and the Hatters situation has a very bleak tinge to it.
Relegation, for a second season on the bounce, is starting to stare us in the face and there is not much to offer any cheer to those that religiously follow Luton Town.
All we get is the odd draw, memories of a win are distant and an air of resignation hovers over the town.
Back from a three-day sojourn, in Budapest, and tuning into social media, if anything, I’d say the mood has darkened with those who cheer the lads on almost accepting that relegation is coming our way, that we don’t have what’s needed to break clear of those teams around us also struggling to avoid the drop.
I’ve selected a trio of posts that amplify that very point.
to me, describes exatly what has gone wrong, after losing our Premier League status it is almost as if we thought we’d cruise through the EFL Championship season instead of giving it the focus it deserves.
Have we been too flippant?
Continuing, the second post has another angle for possible discussion:
Do you agree?
Would relegation this season, after climbing the heights not that long ago, be the most unforgiving of drops?
Over the years, we’ve had a few nightmare seasons, but I can’t recall such a tame, lame season as this one, almost as if we’re sleep walking towards relegation.
But will, with the Power Court development on everyone’s minds, heads roll, or are we caught in a situation where the new ground development is steering the complete infrastructure of the club?
Your views on that idea would be greatly appreciated.
Further continuing, I think the post below sums matter up perfectly:
