76ers Announce Roster Move After Celtics Loss..

The Philadelphia 76ers were arguably the most disappointing team in the NBA after the first half of the season. Unfortunately for them, this trend continued after their 20-point loss at home to the Boston Celtics on Thursday night. Philadelphia now sits at 20-35 and owns the No. 11 seed despite many considering them a top-three team in the conference heading into the season. Though this is largely due to the injuries that Joel Embiid and Paul George have dealt with all season, it is still a tough look for the 76ers as they are in legitimate danger of missing the postseason. After their loss to Boston, the 76ers announced a roster move that may interest some Celtics fans. USA:

Reports surfaced earlier in the week that they would sign the Pennsylvania native, but it was not made official until after the 76ers’ loss to Boston. “welcome to Philly,” the 76ers wrote on X. as a free agent in August. However, the Celtics waived him just before the start of the regular season. Speaking with reporters on Friday, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse said Philadelhia had Walker on its radar over the summer (via Adam Aaronson of The Philly Voice). Currently, it is unknown exactly when Walker will make his 76ers debut. However, the Celtics and 76ers will face off one more this season in Boston on March 6. As if a divisional matchup was not already worth the anticipation, both fanbases will have another narrative to follow in Walker’s revenge game.
