
Alan Shearer applauds Eberechi Eze’s display against Fulham..
Former England captain Alan Shearer complimented Eberechi Eze’s ‘fantastic’ display in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Fulham.
The 26-year-old completed the most dribbles at Craven Cottage, registered four shots, drew two fouls and placed five passes into the final third.
Reviewing the affair on BBC’s Match of Day, Shearer pointed out Eze’s self-belief when taking players on.
“They were really good, some top performances – nobody was better than Eberechi Eze,” Shearer proclaimed.
“Back in the team and everything he did was full of confidence. His touch, technique and ability was fantastic.

“He could have had the assist of the season, but Mateta was about an inch offside. The backheel and vision to pull it off was unbelievable.
“It was a very impressive performance from the Palace team, but there was nobody better than him.”
Danny Murphy, Europa League runner-up with Fulham in 2010, added praise for Crystal Palace’s defensive foundations.
“It is incredible. Six away clean sheets, only Liverpool have equalled that. Richards deserves some credit for taking over from Chalobah.
“Lacroix and Guehi have been outstanding. It is a really solid base for Palace.”
