Norwich City forward Josh Sargent believes his side have enough quality to squeeze into the play-off places by the end of the season, but insists they need to find a level of consistency to make it happen.

The Canaries produced a dominant display in a 4-2 victory over Stoke City last weekend at Carrow Road, with a brace from Sargent, along with strikes from loanee Lewis Dobbin and an own goal from Junior Tchamadeu, sealing all three points and lifting the East Anglian outfit into 10th in the second tier table.

Johannes Hoff Thorup’s men now sit only four points away from the top six, and have a glorious chance to close the gap when they meet promotion rivals Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

American international Sargent has hit the ground running once again in the Championship after a lengthy spell away with a groin injury, netting seven times in eight league games upon his return.

A return for the marksman is sure to bolster Norwich’s promotion ambitions incredibly, with a regular source of goals secured at the top end of the pitch to give the team every chance of winning games most weeks.

Now Sargent has offered his thoughts on where the side is at, and what they can do to get ahead of the play-off chasing pack.
