
Luton Town – The Month Of March Is Almost Upon Us
March is almost upon us and it is time to look towards a fresh month and a chance to improve our fortunes when it comes to our position in the table.
February was a poor month for the Hatters with Matt Bloomfield overseeing a month that saw Luton Town accumulate a meagre 2 points out of the 15 available, courtesy of draws away to Sheffield Wednesday and at home to Plymouth Argyle. Elsewhere, Luton Town suffered losses away to Sunderland and Watford and a home reverse against Sheffield United.
March sees the Hatters face five fixtures, as can be seen below:
• 01-March – Luton Town v Portsmouth
• 08-March – Burnley v Luton Town
• 11-March – Cardiff City v Luton Town
• 15-March – Luton Town v Middlesbrough
• 29-March – Hull City v Luton Town
Three away fixtures and two home fixtures in which the Hatters must end their recent awful run of form.
But there are, undoubtedly, some tough games among those five.
My belief is that if Luton Town are still bottom come the end of March then it’s curtains to our chances of staying up.
