Norwich City are once again in the mix for a play-off place this year after coming sixth in the Championship last season.
Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side face stiff competition in the battle for those final spots in the top six, with third and fourth already looking sewn up by Burnley and Sunderland.
The club missed out on promotion last year with a play-off semi-final defeat to Leeds United, so they will be hoping to go one step further this year if they can have a strong end to the campaign.
But the Canaries will also have one eye on their potential summer business already, as Thorup will be keen to strengthen his options regardless of Norwich’s league status for next year.
Norwich City expected to focus on signing replacements this summer

When asked how many players this club could sign this summer, FLW’s Norwich fan pundit Zeke Downes claimed that incomings will be dependent on sales.
He expects at least one of Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent to depart, and Onel Hernandez and Angus Gunn are two others he believes could need replacing for next season.
“I think it depends on who we let go,” Downes told Football League World.
“If we sell Sainz and/or Sargent, then we’ve got a bit of money to play with then.
“If Angus Gunn leaves, then obviously we’ll need another keeper and I think they might be okay at centre-back because we’ve got [Ruairi] McConville now and [José] Córdoba should fit in there nicely.
“But we’ll probably get another winger to replace Sainz if he leaves, and Hernandez as well, who is likely to leave on a free.
“I would get in another striker as well, because with Sargent’s injury record, it’s a little bit patchy.
“We need another guy to be behind him, although Ante Crnac could be that guy.
“I’d imagine we’ll just replace the players that have left instead of signing more players because we’ve got a deep enough squad now.”
Norwich are currently 10th in the Championship table, four points adrift of the play-off places.
