Luton Town – Supporters Appreciative But Reserved In Their Judgement
It’s the morning after the night before and my head is a little fuzzy after downing more than a few pints last night.
I know they warn you about alcohol abuse but having just witnessed the Hatters first win, in 2025, whilst also climbing off the bottom of the table, who’d begrudge me a few too many pints of the amber nectar.
But, although the first-half goal from Jordan Clark was enough to secure three points and lift the club up to 22nd place in the EFL Championship, the response to this rare win, on social media, have been a little reserved, as you are about to see:
Finally. A win. Bloomfield’s first. Did we deserve it? Just about. Could we have drawn or lost it? 100% yes. Massive plus in Massoko. Outstanding for a 20 year old young man in a new country. A clean sheet as well. Best thing for me? The crowd noise. The support was impressive.

Great points made there, especially about Massoko, but more on the youngster later in a separate article. A dash of honesty, yes we just about deserved the win but, probably, only because Portsmouth, especially in the first half, were so poor. And, yest the atmosphere was far better almost as if everyone recognised the importance of the fixture.
We ground it out and showed some of the fight that’s been missing most of the season. A much needed 3 points and a clean sheet. Not getting carried away at all though, we didn’t test their keeper at all. #COYH

In our current predicament, results are far more important than the performances given. As long as we knuckle down and put in the effort, nobody will criticise the team. Like they say, there’s no point sitting in the dressing room bemoaning that you haven’t given it all.
As for the result, I’m guessing that Thomas Kaminski was happy to register a clean sheet but far happier to see his side take the three points on offer for the first time this year.
Big up every player and fan today, that was proper Luton

In some aspects it was, 100% effort, a cacophany of noise coming down from the terraces and a team that had won its previous three games beaten, although I would have been a little happier if we had created more chances, but then you can’t have it all.
