FOOTBALL – Siddall at the double as Coventry City under-21s win at Barnsley

RYLIE Siddall scored a brace as Coventry City under-21s won 4-2 away at Barnsley to stretch their unbeaten run to three matches.
Siddall started and completed the scoring at Barnsley Training Complex while Tionne Critchlow-Woyo and Kai Yearn also found the net.

The result means Coventry sit fifth in the Professional Development League North table.

City broke the deadlock on 24 minutes when Siddall found the net.

And Critchlow-Woyo doubled Coventry’s lead six minutes later to put the Sky Blues in command at the break.

The visitors all but sealed the points on 62 minutes when Yearn struck to put City three goals to the good.

Barnsley reduced the deficit three minutes and closed the gap to a single goal two minutes from time to set up a tense finale.

However, Siddall secured the points for the young Sky Blues one minute into injury time with his second goal of the game.
