bet’ Baltimore Ravens use first round pick on this position in 2025 NFL Draft
The NFL offseason is in full swing and teams have already begun formulating their free agency plans. With Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens are always in a strong spot. That remains true this offseason too.
Yet, when you boast a two-time NFL MVP like the Ravens do, the pressure to win a Super Bowl increases each time they fail. Now heading into his eighth season as a starter, much of that blame falls on the shoulders of the Ravens’ QB.
However, one of the Ravens’ issues last season was an inconsistent defense that settled into allowing the ninth-fewest points in the NFL. With Jackson fully expected to lead a top-five scoring attack again, it’s the Ravens’ defense that could use an injection of youth.
While pre-free agency mock drafts are always bound to change once needs are addressed, the quality of the pass-rushers in this draft class makes the Baltimore Ravens’ plans easier to project.
There isn’t just one or two edge-rushers with a first-round grade this year, there are several of them. Chances are, a number of enticing prospects will be available by the time the Ravens are on the clock in the first round.
The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec strongly believes the Ravens will be targeting an edge rusher with their first pick in the draft.
