Blackburn Rovers man could move ‘somewhere’ like Norwich City this summer, former EFL defender predicts
Blackburn Rovers attacker Tyrhys Dolan has been backed to join a team like Norwich City this summer by former Football League defender Guy Branston.
Blackburn Rovers risk losing the player at the end of this season. His contract with Rovers expires in late June and he is due to become a free agent as things stand.
Dolan, 23, is facing an uncertain future at Ewood Park and it remains to be seen at this stage whether he will be staying put. He has made 37 appearances in all competitions in this campaign, 34 of which have come in the league, and he has chipped in with four goals and five assists.
Former Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United centre-back Branston has delivered his verdict on his situation and has written in the Football League Paper (09.03.25, page 39): “I could see him joining Norwich or somewhere like that, but by that point you’re pretty much talking about club’s at Blackburn’s level. Maybe Europe? Of course, we don’t know why he isn’t signing a new contract.
“He’ll be getting told about interest by his agent. He’s probably got a certain opinion on himself and thinks his data is strong. He might just be sick to death of playing for Blackburn for all we know. We can’t read his mind.”
