The shock Wolves player Kevin De Bruyne named in his dream Premier League five-a-side team in 2022
Wolves fans have seen some excellent players grace the pitch at Molineux, and even in a relegation-threatened side, there are plenty of incredible stars.
Matheus Cunha is the pick of the bunch. The Brazilian has reached unbelievable heights this term, finding the net 15 times in all competitions.
Cunha is now wanted by several big clubs ahead of the summer, with the 25-year-old boasting a £62.5 million release clause in his contract.
The former Atletico Madrid striker is joined by relentless midfielder Joao Gomes, who is drawing interest from Liverpool, as the next player most likely to leave Molineux.
As seen in recent transfer windows, Wolves have let some amazing players leave for big money, most notably Ruben Neves in 2023 and Pedro Neto in 2024.
But when naming his best five-a-side in 2022, Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne snubbed Neves and Neto by selecting a different Wolves star.
Kevin De Bruyne named Jose Sa in his dream five-a-side team in 2022
At the end of the 2021/22 campaign, Man City were crowned champions, and De Bruyne won the Premier League Player of the Season after scoring 15 goals and laying on eight assists.
The Belgian was also asked to name his dream five-a-side team consisting of just Premier League players, with the only stipulation being that he could only pick one player from each team included.
