How much Regan Slater earns at Hull City as Sheffield United, Stoke & Derby circle
Hull City could be vulnerable to losing midfielder Regan Slater in the summer if they are relegated amid reports that he is attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs.
Slater came through the academy at Sheffield United, and he captained the club’s youth team, but he only made three senior appearances for the Blades, spending time out on loan at Carlisle United and Scunthorpe United before initially joining Hull on a temporary basis in September 2020.
The 25-year-old then returned to the MKM Stadium permanently in January 2022, and it seems that his performances have caught the eye of his former club, with Sportsboom claiming this week that United are considering making a move to bring Slater back to Bramall Lane in the summer.
However, the Blades are not the only Championship club keen on Slater, with Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Derby County also reportedly interested in the midfielder, who is said to be “likely to consider his options” if the Tigers are relegated this season.
It has been a nightmare season for Hull, and they currently sit 20th in the table, just three points above the relegation zone, so the threat of dropping into League One is becoming increasingly real for the East Yorkshire outfit.
