How Leicester Have Lined Up Recently
After the lengthy international break, Leicester City returned to action with yet another defeat. The Foxes have now lost seven consecutive games after Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City dominated from the off last time out. This Monday, April 7, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side will take on Newcastle United. Here is the Leicester Predicted Lineup to take on Eddie Howe’s top-four chasing squad at the King Power Stadium.
Last time out, the Foxes utilised their five-at-the-back system once again, but it came with little success. In between the sticks, Mads Hermansen reprised his role as the Foxes’ shot-stopper as his error led to the home side’s second goal of the night. Wout Faes, Conor Coady, and Luke Thomas all starred in the centre-back roles, whilst Victor Kristiansen and James Justin started as wing-backs on their respective sides.
Meanwhile, a midfield duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumaré also started, but this may have been due to an off-pitch issue between Harry Winks and his manager. Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka then played further forward, with 38-year-old Jamie Vardy leading the line on the 27th occasion this campaign. The system and profiles were severely flawed in the Wednesday night fixture as Oliver Skipp and many others came off the bench, but also struggled.
