Hull City'e Abdülkadir Ömür de çare olamadı! Play Off potasında devam! Puan Durumu...

Further details emerge as Hull City set to sign 32-year-old

Championship club Hull City have struck an agreement to sign former Fenerbahce striker Joao Pedro.

This is according to Hull Live, who believe this agreed “deal in principle” could end up being wrapped up fairly quickly.

The Tigers are in need of more depth in their striker area, especially after losing a lot of attacking firepower since the end of last season.

Their former loanees Fabio Carvalho, Liam Delap, Noah Ohio and Anass Zaroury all left and didn’t return, which is a blow considering how gifted the quartet are.

Delap is now impressing in the Premier League with Ipswich Town – and Hull may end up ruing the fact they were unable to get another deal over the line for the striker.

In terms of their other attacking departures, Jaden Philogene has returned to Aston Villa, which is a blow considering how influential he was at the MKM Stadium during the 2023/24 campaign.

Aaron Connolly and Billy Sharp departed before Philogene, with both players being released on the expiration of their contracts, even with the former scoring eight goals in 28 league games last season.

And Oscar Estupinan left during the latter stages of the summer window, leaving the Tigers with a shortage of options in the striker department.

Following Estupinan’s departure, it would have been ideal for them to strengthen this area, but they were unable to.

In fairness to the Tigers, they have brought in Marvin Mehlem, Liam Millar, Mason Burstow, Kasey Palmer, Mohamed Belloumo, Abu Kamara and Chris Bedia to strengthen their chances of scoring enough goals this season.

Summer signing Palmer scored twice in last night’s 3-1 win at Stoke City – but depth in the striker area is still required and a new option looks set to come in.
