Swansea City secured their first away win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Coventry City at the CBS Arena, thanks to first-half goals from Liam Cullen and Ollie Cooper.
The visitors dominated the early stages, taking a deserved lead when Cullen netted his third goal of the season. Cooper soon doubled the advantage after a powerful run from midfield, giving the Swans a commanding position.
Coventry responded quickly through Jack Rudoni, halving the deficit, but Swansea maintained their composure. Despite a second-half torrential downpour that briefly halted play, the Swans held firm to claim back-to-back wins in the Championship.
This result mirrored the determination and team cohesion from the previous victory over Norwich, with standout contributions from Lawrence Vigouroux, Ben Cabango, Josh Tymon, and captain Matt Grimes. Swansea’s resilience extended their unbeaten run at Coventry to 43 years.
Luke Williams had called on his side to replicate the intensity they showed against Norwich, having felt the Swans had been sluggish in earlier away fixtures. The response was evident, with the sole change seeing Tymon replacing Kyle Naughton at left-back.
The players duly responded with Williams telling the media after the game how his side had showed quality and grit to get the result at the CBS Arena.
The Swans next game is the visit of Bristol City to the Swansea.com stadium on Sunday, 29 September (3pm).
