Leeds return for Carlos Corberan ‘can certainly happen’ – Keith Wyness
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed Carlos Corberan moving to Leeds United “can certainly happen” despite him being employed at promotion rivals West Brom.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested a “transfer window for managers” would make sense to stop clubs “creating instability” at rivals.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (16 September) that Daniel Farke is “under pressure” at Elland Road after the Whites’ underwhelming start to the season.
Leeds have picked up just eight points from their first five games in the quest for promotion from the Championship.
Meanwhile, sources have told Football Insider (18 September) that West Brom manager Corberan has a £2million release clause in his contract amid longstanding Leeds interest.
The Whites are continuing to keep close tabs on Marcelo Bielsa’s former assistant, who is highly regarded by the Yorkshire giants.

When asked if Leeds could realistically poach a manager from their rivals, Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “It happens all the time.
“If there’s a buyout clause, and in Corberan’s case I believe it is around £2million, then Leeds just need to pay that fee – and it can happen.
