Panthers TE Tommy Tremble named fantasy breakout candidate for 2022

Carolina Panthers ready to put 2023 behind them

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – After a 2-15 season in 2023, the first thing the Carolina Panthers have to do in 2024 to be successful is put last year in the rear view mirror.

There is already one built in factor that will lead to that happening… all the new faces within the Carolina Panthers organization.

If the Panthers lined up today to play as of Wednesday, September 4th, 5 of the 11 offensive starters would be new and 6 of the 11 would be new on defense. Not to mention, the team also has a new head coach and a new offensive coordinator.

“We have a lot of new guys on our team that really don’t understand what was going on last year or what has happened in this organization before I got here,” said Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen. “Those are the good things so we are just ready to play football. Everyone is just ready to get together and get out there for the first time together in a real game.”

“If you look at the roster and the turnover that has happened, it’s a new thing,” said head coach Dave Canales. “It’s something new that we are going to become and that has been the tone that I have taken with the team and the tone the team has taken as well. We got a bunch of new guys to play, let’s learn each other and figure out a style that we know how to play with.”

The new faces continued to roll in on Wednesday as the Panthers signed tight end Messiah Swinson because Ian Thomas and Tommy Tremble are dealing with injures and did not practice.

With all the new faces, a big question is who are the Carolina Panthers in 2024?
