Adam Idah spells out the difference between training at Celtic and Norwich City.

After a summer of intense speculation, Adam Idah finally made his big move to Celtic from Norwich City.

Celtic paid £9.5m to capture Idah after he made a lasting impression on Brendan Rodgers on loan scoring important goals that helped seal a league and Scottish Cup double last season.

Now at Celtic, the Republic of Ireland international striker has shared just how different training is at Celtic compared to Norwich City.

Adam Idah did take part in Norwich’s pre-season but found game time hard to come by after Norwich City changed managers but, in all honesty, he did look a bit rusty in his first start for Celtic against St Mirren this season.

‘Intense’ Celtic training ready’s Idah for season ahead
Now almost two months into his second spell at Celtic, Idah has shared how different training is at Parkhead compared to Norwich City and, in truth, his comments shed light on why he looked off the pace in his first couple of outings in the green and white Hoops.

Idah told the Daily Record, “Yeah, 100 percent. Look, I didn’t do much in pre-season.

“Before anyone jumps on that, that wasn’t me chucking it or anything, it was just how we trained down at Norwich.

“Obviously it’s not as intense down there as it is here, we’re at big clubs and we want to be on it.

“So yeah, when I first came I was probably a week behind, and now I’m getting the minutes in I’m starting to get goals. I feel good now, and I’m probably not far behind. I just need to keep sticking with it and I’ll get there.”

Celtic training starting to pay off for Adam Idah
Idah has now started to look back to his best and was unfortunate not to get his first goal of the season against Hearts after having a strike ruled offside.

Now with three goals to his name after scoring against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League and a quick-fire double against Falkirk on Sunday, Idah is starting to look like the striker who shone and wowed the Celtic fans last season under Brendan Rodgers.

Now that Kyogo Furuhashi has competition for his starting spot, the fans will be hoping that both strikers push each other on to become prolific this season to help defend the Scottish Premiership title this season.
