Liverpool has already been without Harvey Elliott for a couple of matches through injury but he is set to be out for a while longer yet, which isn’t ideal for Arne Slot.
Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott has been pictured wearing a protective boot as he continues to recover from a foot injury. He picked up the problem while on international duty with England U21s earlier in the month.
Elliott has already missed Liverpool’s home defeat to Nottingham Forest and away win at AC Milan. But Arne Slot is set to be without a key midfield option for another few matches yet with the number 19 likely to miss at least another month.
The Times suggested he would be back in “late October”. There are still another five matches before the next international break, including Bournemouth coming to Anfield this weekend.

In a series of social media posts, Elliott was spotted at the AXA Training Centre coffee bar alongside the likes of goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher and left-back Kostas Tsimikas. He simply captioned one post: “Fellas,” where he was sat on top of the counter with the protective boot on show.
“Harvey is of course a big disappointment for him but also for us,” Slot said before last weekend’s Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest. “Okay, he didn’t play that much in the first three games but he played a lot in pre-season and showed himself really well.
“If he had stayed fit he would have had a lot of playing time in the upcoming fixtures, but now it gives a chance to someone else. It’s first and foremost a blow for himself but for also for us, availability is important in the stage of the season when we play seven games in 22 days. He will work as hard as always to come back in the best possible way.”
