PL manager not happy after missing out on Leeds United defender
Leeds United centre-back Max Wöber was a reported target for Wolves during the summer window, but the Whites priced the Premier League side out of a deal.
Daniel Farke’s squad is on the thinner side right now after seeing multiple players leave both crucial and on the fringes, but there was interest in several others too.
Included in that was centre-back Max Wöber, who returned to the squad after a loan at Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.
Leeds turned down interest from Wolves for Max Wöber
According to Give Me Sport, Wolves’ long-term injury blow for centre-back Yerson Mosquera comes in the aftermath of them not being able to sign Wöber from Leeds.
Mosquera went off in the defeat to Aston Villa with a serious knee injury and it leaves them short of options at the back now, which would have been helped, had they been able to meet the demands that Leeds set for Wöber:
