The Home Office has released the latest figures on the number of football banning orders and arrests across England and Wales for the 2023/24 season.
The figures show that a total of 2,584 football-related arrests were made during the 2023-24 campaign, with a further 180 arrests made in England and Wales in relation to the Euro 2024 tournament in the summer.
West Ham United had the highest number of football banning orders in force for 2023/24 with 93. This was followed by Manchester United (89) and Millwall (82).
For supporters of clubs in the top 5 divisions, there were 2,043 football-related arrests, a similar number to the 2022 to 2023 season (2,037). Around half of the 2,043 football-related arrests were of supporters at away matches.
The club with the highest number of supporters arrested in the 2023 to 2024 season was West Ham United for the third consecutive year, with 103 arrests.
West Brom had the largest increase in arrests compared to the 2022-23 season out of any team, with the number of arrests rising from 11 to 51 last season.
