Steve Cooper sacked? Keith Wyness shares Leicester ‘dressing room’ verdict.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness believes that Leicester City boss Steve Cooper’s position at the club is safe at the moment.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – revealed that Leicester are in a stronger position than Wolves at the moment.
The Foxes have had a difficult start to life back in the Premier League after failing to win their opening six fixtures.
However, Cooper’s side picked up their first three points of the season last weekend by defeating Bournemouth 1-0.
The lack of results had placed pressure on Cooper, with Football Insider revealing that the 44-year-old’s methods had left Leicester’s players unconvinced.
