Colts announce 5 inactive players for Week 6 game vs. Tennessee Titans; Anthony Richardson inactive as emergency third quarterback.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is inactive for the second consecutive game, though on Sunday he is designated as the Colts’ emergency third quarterback.
NASHVILLE – Quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is among the five inactive players the Colts announced Sunday for their Week 6 game against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
Richardson is designated as the Colts’ emergency third quarterback, which means he could only enter the game due to injuries or disqualifications to the other quarterbacks on the Colts’ active gameday roster (Joe Flacco and Sam Ehlinger).
Richardson was listed as questionable on Friday’s final practice report of the week. Head coach Shane Steichen said Friday Richardson, who sustained an oblique injury in Week 4 and did not play in Week 5, would be a game time decision. Richardson was a limited participant in Wednesday and Friday’s practices and was a full participant on Thursday.
Wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. (back) and Josh Downs (toe) are both active after being listed as questionable Friday. Cornerback Kenny Moore II (hip, shoulder) and right tackle Braden Smith (knee, ankle) are active as well after being listed as questionable.
The Colts on Friday ruled out running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle). The full inactive list for Week 6:
QB Anthony Richardson (oblique, third quarterback)
WR Anthony Gould
RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle)
G Danny Pinter
DE Genard Avery
