Chelsea has finalized the signing of Boca Juniors defender, Aaron Anselmino for £15.6 million.
The 19-year-old has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge but will be loaned back to the Argentine club for the 2024 -25 season as part of the deal.
Anselmino extended his contract in January 2024, which now ties him to the club until 2028.
This summer, Chelsea have spent around £115 million on midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, and Omari Kellyman, as well as goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, defenders Tosin Adarabioyo and Caleb Wiley, winger Estevao Willian, and striker Marc Guiu.
The club has recouped about £90 million through the sales of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, and Omari Hutchinson, and Conor Gallagher is expected to join Atletico Madrid for £33 million.
The Blues are currently looking for a striker and have shown interest in Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion.
Chelsea will kick off their 2024-25 Premier League season against reigning champions Manchester City on August 18.
