In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Arsenal are locked in a three-way battle for Real Madrid talent Arda Guler. It has been claimed that the Gunners would have to rival Manchester City and Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the race to land the Turkish wide player.
Guler’s Recent Form In Spanish Football
Guler has made a slow start to this campaign as he has struggled to nail down a regular starting place in Carlo Ancelotti’s first team. The 19-year-old has made 11 appearances for Los Blancos this season on all fronts.

The Turkish talent has been a reliable performer in the final third despite seeing a lot of his game time come off the bench based on his average of 1.4 shots, 1.3 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after completing 88.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2029 which could make it tough for the Gunners to snap him up on a cut-price deal next year.

Arsenal Are Locked In A Three-Way Battle For Guler: Is He Worth The Fight?
Guler can find some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range and has got the eye to set up a few decent plays for others around him in and around the opponent’s penalty box.
The Turkish youngster can make some dangerous runs with the ball as well in the final third. However, he might need some time to settle into the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to get a deal done for him next year.We can expect Guler to bring more firepower to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta‘s frontline in the long run. Furthermore, he is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years. Thus, Guler would be well worth the fight as long as the North London club can manage to land him for the right price.
At 19 the Turkish playmaker has the potential to be a generational talent which makes him a great long-term fit for Arsenal’s needs.
