Amanda Staveley to continue Tottenham due diligence as non-disclosure agreements mooted
Non-disclosure agreements between Tottenham and Amanda Staveley will allow both parties to continue their due diligence behind the scenes, according to football finance expert Dan Plumley.
Reports suggest the former Newcastle chief may already have non-disclosure agreements in place as she looks to complete her acquisition of a minority stake at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium [The Athletic, 23 October].
Although it isn’t yet clear when Staveley could become an official shareholder in North London, Plumley insists supporters shouldn’t be at all concerned as this has become a regular feature in modern football.
“Yeah, it tends to be,” Plumley exclusively told Tottenham News.
“Any prospective ownership group coming in, whether it’s for a minority stake or all the way up to full control, non-disclosure agreements are fairly commonplace.
Will Amanda Staveley take over Tottenham after Newcastle exit?
“They’re something that need to be put in place and they can do their due diligence behind the scenes while that’s in play as well.”
