Mark Moseley reacts after Weymouth draw with Farnborough
Mark Moseley said his side ‘showed character’ after Jordan Thompson grabbed the Terras a late equaliser at home to Farnborough.
Weymouth, who still sit at the bottom of the National League South, battled hard to earn a draw against the league leaders with a goal in the 83rd minute from Thompson, cancelling out Ricky Holmes’ strike.
Speaking after the game, Moseley said his side gave a ‘positive performance’. He said: “It was a good game, of course Farnborough had been flying high so we knew we had to be at our best.

“We ran a good race, got on top on the second half and our players didn’t want the game to end to be honest.”
Both sides were able to carve out a few opportunities in what was an even first half on the south coast and not long into the second half, the Terras thought they had opened the scoring through Bartolo, however, the 18-year-old was denied by the assistant’s flag.
Weymouth pushed for an equaliser and saw chances come and go from Bartolo and Brooks who both header over the bar before Thompson’s header from a corner sailed into the back of the net.
Speaking about the boost that the late goal gave his side, Moseley said: “I think it’s exciting- you can see that we’re growing as a group. We may not have got the points that we would like or deserve, and after what has been a difficult and tough start it feels like these results are making us stronger.”
