You have to feel sorry for today’s date. Coventrio — Middlesbrough 0-3 Coventry — Going toe-to-toe with Boro is no easy task, although it was a task made easier when Hayden Hackney went toe-to-shin twice in the first half for two yellows and a red. Coventry had already had two goals ruled out for offside by that point and they made relatively light work of Boro with a goal before the break and another two after it. Michael Carrick’s side have now been trailing in games for longer than they’ve led. Coventry are giving off ‘they’re back’ vibes, but let’s assess that next week after Derby (H) and Sunderland (A).
