Eustace eager for a happy trip home.
John Eustace has challenged his side to change their away-day fortunes as the team aims to record a first league victory away from Ewood Park this weekend.
Rovers hit the road for a showdown against Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon and will be hoping to secure the points as visitors for the first time at the seventh attempt in the Sky Bet Championship.
Stubbornness on their travels saw Rovers pick up draws at Norwich City, Burnley and Preston North End in their opening three away games in 2024-25.
However, fortunes haven’t been lavish for Eustace’s charges on recent trips away from East Lancashire, with Rovers leaving Coventry City, Plymouth Argyle and Watford empty-handed in their last trio of away outings.
Frustration against Stoke City on Wednesday night will no doubt provide extra incentive for Rovers to right the wrongs, but they’ll have to do it without Tyrhys Dolan, who will serve a one-match ban following his fifth booking of the season in midweek.
“We really let ourselves down at Coventry,” Eustace said to RoversTV when reviewing his side’s recent struggles on the road.

“For an hour at Plymouth, we weren’t at the races, but were very good in the last half an hour and could have won the game.
“The performances away from home have been okay overall. We’ve had three good draws but it’s time to get a few wins now.
“We’ll see how we look and see how the injuries are and see if anyone can be fit. We have Ty suspended, so we’ll see how we are.
“It’s a huge blow because he’s been very good for us both with and without the ball. It’s another body that we’ll lose from the squad.”
